Akoo Show Choir Nkabom Tour 2025

Akoo Show Choir is an internationally minded musical group known for its dynamic performances, vocal excellence, and strong social message. Originating from Ghana, this vibrant ensemble uses choral music not only as a form of artistic expression but as a powerful tool for unity, cultural exchange, and healing.

In 2025, Akoo Show Choir is bringing its message of togetherness to audiences across Germany with the NKABOM Tour—a celebration of unity, peace, and diversity through music.

MusikBrücken e.V.

Based in Würzburg, Germany, MusikBrücken e.V. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of art, culture, and musical exchange between Germany and Africa.

The organization supports international collaborations and believes in the power of music to build understanding across borders. Their work includes supporting choir tours, music workshops, and cultural events that connect African and German communities.

Akoo Show Choir Germany

Akoo Show Choir Germany is the brainchild of Francis Baffoe, a Ghanaian choir director and singer with a passion for cultural exchange and inclusion through music.

It was a long-standing dream of his to form a choir in Germany, where people from all backgrounds could come together to sing—celebrating their differences while building unity through shared harmony.

In June 2024, that dream became a reality. Despite being newly formed, the choir has already developed a diverse repertoire featuring songs from Ghana, South Africa, and Nigeria. They’ve performed in services and events in Baiertal, Waldwimmersbach, and the Biddersbachhalle church bazaar.

More than just a musical group, Akoo Show Choir Germany is a community. Inspired by the parrot (Akoo) in its logo—symbolizing many vibrant colors—members are invited to join a colorful family where everyone is welcome, regardless of skin color, religion, origin, or language. The choir stands as a living example of the power of music to foster togetherness, joy, and peace.

The Meaning Behind “Nkabom”

“Nkabom” is a Twi word from Ghana that means togetherness. It reflects the spirit of this tour—a journey across Germany to unite people from different walks of life through music. Whether in small towns or large cities, Akoo Show Choir aims to remind audiences that harmony is possible—both musically and socially.
